AGU FALL MEETING
One of our scientist, Thibaut Barreyre, is convening and chairing at the next AGU fall meeting together with other researchers! This years AGU meeting will be held in Washington, D. C from 10 - 14 December 2018.

V52B: New Insights into Oceanic Spreading Centers from Seafloor Observatories
Oceanic Spreading Centers (OSC) are complex settings in which geological, hydrothermal, biological and oceanographic processes all interact. The challenges of understanding these systems and of capturing the volcanic and tectonic events responsible for forming the ocean crust has led to the establishment of longterm multidisciplinary seafloor observatories and miscellaneous deep-sea experiments. The resulting datasets require exploration, integration, and modeling at a level that cumulatively must transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries. The goal of this session is to bring together the broad research community working on OSC to better understand 1) magma supply, storage and emplacement 2) the dynamic hydrothermal system that link the geosphere to the ocean and 3) the associated seafloor ecosystems We also encourage submissions presenting new advances in deep-sea technologies involved in OSC experiments.
