Housing wanted

WANTED: Housing for marine botanist with pet (from February 2025, long-term)

Doreen Ryland's picture

Hi, my name is Sophie, and I am happy to join the team of the University Museum as Assistant Professor in marine botany in February 2025.
Thus, I am looking for housing for myself and my dog Coco.
I am looking for an appartment, flat, or house with a garden or terrace, preferrably in close vicinity to nature in the wider Bergen area.
A plus would be an already furnished place but that is not a must.
I am looking for 1-2 bedrooms.
My partner, who is marketing manager, will join me later in the year.
Long-term rent is planned but I am also happy about short-term offers.
About myself: I am 33 years old, originally from Germany, but have lived and worked in Sweden as researcher and lecturer for the past 6 years (fluent in Swedish, German, English, learning Norwegian).
I am a calm and clean person and like to spend my free time in nature with extended tours in the mountains, going snorkeling and, as botanist, like doing gardening work of course.
About my dog: Coco is well behaving, house-trained (hjemmetrent), and a lovely and happy small Lagotto lady that loves everyone.

If you have some housing available, I am happy if you get in contact: sophie.steinhagen@gu.se
