Research
Cathy’s research involves how social media influences body image and body weight perception among adolescents. She is also involved in the HBSC study, a cross-national research project in collaboration with WHO, which investigates health behaviors in school-aged children aged 11, 13, and 15 years.
Outreach
Cathy disseminates research findings through lectures, publications, and participation in international conferences. She is also active in sharing knowledge about health behaviors and body image in her role as honorary visiting fellow at the University of York: https://www.york.ac.uk/sociology/people/catharina-wold-robson/#profile-content
Teaching
Cathy teaches in the master’s program in Health Promotion and Health Psychology at the University of Bergen. Her lectures cover topics such as health psychology models, critical thinking and writing, and quantitative methods. She also supervises master’s theses covering a wide range of topics such as self-efficacy, social support and subjective health complaints in children and adolescents.
