I am an industrial Ph.D. student working for Lerøy Seafood Group within the R&D department Ocean Forest. My Ph.D. project focus on estimating the potential to use marine polychaetes in handling organic waste streams originating from finfish production.
My Ph.D. aim at contributing to increased knowledge necessary for the development of circular aquaculture systems by the incorporation of a low trophic organism (polychaetes).
This Ph.D. project is a collaboration between the Institute of Marine Research, Ocean Forest, and the University of Bergen.
Within Ocean Forest, my main work focuses on the cultivation of the brown seaweed Saccharina latissima.
I hold a master's degree in marine biology, which focused on two distinct morphotypes of the brown seaweed Fucus serratus.
