Welcome as a new student at the Faculty of Psychology

The welcome meetings and lectures for the different masters programmes starts Monday the 12th of August or later. You'll find the information of starting date on the website of your study programme. Further information regarding lectures is found by opening the course site and click "Schedule" in the upper right. 

Even though several study programmes starts later than Monday the 12th of August, you're more than welcome to join the mentor week for master students starting that day. The program for the week will be published on Instagram: @master_fadderuken_psykfak. 

Time: Thursday, 15th of August, from 11:30 to 12:30.

Place: Dialogen, Christies gate 12. 

Are you interested in the student organizations? The student environment at the faculty offers activities related to student politics, social events, academics, sports, and culture, something for everyone! They will be available at the square in Dialogen ready for a chat!

If you need to chat with your student advisor, they are available for drop-in guidance and can help you with semester registration. Perfect to combine with the student fair in Grieghallen afterwards.

UiB are spread throughtout the city, and the Faculty of Psychology belongs to Christies gate 12 in the city sentre, Alrek Helseklynge in Årstad og BB-bygget. Additionally, the Library for Social Sciences, Music and Psychology is in Fosswinckelsgate 14. You'll most likely visit other faculties thorughout you study time. You can use Mazemap for navigation on-campus and find all the locations of the university. During your welcomming week, you'll be offered an guided tour of the building.

Participating in student life at the Faculty of Psychology gives you several social arenas, exciting experiences, and new friends across across cohorts and study programs. The Psychological student organisation (PSF) consists of 26 different groups in total with several sports or hobby groups, a student bar, a social commitee and other groups working with academic projects.
