On 23 May 2024, professor emerita Kjersti Fløttum gave a lecture at the closing conference in Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium, for the European collaborative project in climate research 202cm.

The conference went under the title "Overcoming Obstacles to Climate Change Mitigation: a cross-cutting approach by human and social sciences" (French: "Réduire les freins à l'engagement climatique : une approche transversale par les sciences humaines et sociales").

Kjersti Fløttum participated with the lecture "How citizens view possibilities for and obstacles to GHG emissions reductions. Analyzes of surveys in Belgium, France and Norway" (prepared with associate professor Øyvind Gjerstad, who unfortunately could not attend the conference due to illness).

The conference concluded the long-standing collaborative project "2O2cm Overcoming Obstacles and Disincentives to Climate Change Mitigation: A cross-cutting approach by human and social sciences" which has brought together researchers from Belgium, France and Norway.

The conference brought together researchers from France, Brazil, Germany, Great Britain, Canada and Norway, among others. You can find more information about the conference here.
