7th International Congress of Pain in Dementia – Future Directions
Pain in patients with dementia is difficult to evaluate and treat. This leads to increased suffering for patients, caregivers and health personnel. Furthermore, untreated pain may lead to increased neuropsychiatric symptoms such as agitation, depression and sleep disturbances.

The 7th International Congress of Pain in Dementia will be arranged by the European COST-Action group (TD1005), including international researchers from 14 European countries, the USA and Australia, arranged by the University of Bergen, Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care, Centre for Elderly and Nursing Home Medicine.
