The interaction between flowers and insects is exciting and absolutely necessary. Insects have many important tasks in the circulation, and they are found everywhere.

What insects can we find in the garden, and what can we do to help the insects? Together with various actors, we celebrate the insects in "Biehagen" in Bergen Botanical Garden!

The association "La Humla Suse" (let the bumblebee buzz) is in place and tells about bumblebees in Norway and has bumblebee walks in the garden.
Beekeeper Alf Helge Søyland talks about the bees and demonstrates how a beehive works. There will also be tastings and sales of honey.
We make a small exhibition with wildflowers that you can easily take into your own garden and learn how to collect seeds in nature.
Entomologist (expert on insects) Per Djursvoll from the University Museum talks about other insects. If you have collected insects and are wondering what it is or can you find someone in the Botanical Garden, Per can probably help you.
Eides Stauder is in place and sells plants suitable for pollinating insects.
