SDG14 | LIFE BELOW WATER

Connecting student active learning with the UN system

A unique course on SDG14 brings together student active learning and an interdisciplinary approach on how to engage with sustainability issues and how science can provide knowledge for a sustainable Ocean. We have produced three videos showing what makes the course special.

SDG14, Life Below Water, video 3

Hovedinnhold

In the third and final video in a series of three (embedded at head of page), we look at how the University of Bergen is connected directly with the United Nations. Not the least through our status as SDG14 Hub for United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and as the leader of the International Association of Universities SDG14 Cluster.

In the first video, students talked about the inspiration they drew from the course and SDG14 course coordinator Katja Enberg discussed the unique nature of the course.

In the second video, students, Enberg and Academic Director Lise Øvreås from the virtual centre Ocean Sustainability Bergen, which leads the University of Bergen's SDG14 work, talk about how interdisciplinarity is at the core of the course, the importance of student active learning and educating the leaders of the future.
