Hovedinnhold
Research interests:
She has been working on reproductive epidemiology for more than 20 years including research on pre- and perinatal factors for short-term and long-term outcomes in offspring such as congenital malformation, neurological or neuropsychiatric disorders (cerebral palsy, epilepsy, ADHD, autism, cognition), cancer, and injury. She has investigated a series of pre- and perinatal risk factors for epilepsy in childhood and early adulthood including maternal diseases (infertility, infection and fever, pre-eclampsia), maternal life style factors (binge drinking and diet), maternal medication during pregnancy (antibiotics for cystitis, antidepressant), perinatal factors (Apgar score, birth weight, gestational age, neonatal hyperbilirubinemia), and factors in early life (breastfeeding, vaccination). In recent years, she is focusing on safety of medication used during pregnancy and interested in applying case-only designs in epidemiological research.
