First public PhD defense at the Center: Ester Anne Kringeland defended her PhD thesis 06.12.2022 at the University of Bergen. Title of the thesis: "Sex differences in blood pressure in midlife: associations with risk factors and acute coronary syndromes in the Hordaland Health Studies".

The thesis was evaluated and discussed by professor Annika Rosengren, University of Gothenburg, as first opponent and by professor Gianfranco Parati, University of Milan-Bicocca, as second opponent. The committee was led by professor Rune O. Bjørneklett, University of Bergen. Professor Francisco Real served as custos. We congratulate Ester with her achievement!
