Hovedinnhold
The Jan Mayen Vent Fields are situated at the southernmost segment of the Mohns Ridge at a water depth of 550 to 700 m. The hydrothermal fluids at this site are characterised by high CO2 contents, providing the opportunity to study
- the dispersion of CO2 in the water column
- potential effects of high CO2 on marine ecosystems
- test CO2 monitoring equipment
