Watch 'Energy for emission-free building and construction sites' here!

Camilla Moster head of mobile energy at BKK will give us insight into energy for emission-free building and construction sites. She will tell us about the road from an innovation idea to a new department in BKK, give examples of what it will take to achieve zero emission construction sites, what the challenges are and what we can do to achieve electrification without unnecessary increase in grid capacity.

Hovedinnhold

Zero emission construction sites in Norway:

The construction industry is facing a shift towards electrification, as municipalities and others starts to set requirements for emission reduction within the fence of the construction site. From 2025 several municipalities will have requirements for 100% emission free construction sites, and this means that diesel run engines and aggregates have to be replaced with renewable power sources. For much of the equipment and machines, such as excavators, cranes and loaders, this means electrifying the machine park and building infrastructure for the increased energy and power needed at construction sites. This need is usually temporary and can be sourced by mobile energy solutions, such as mobile battery systems.

BKK wants to contribute in the transmission from fossil to zero emission technology at construction sites, by providing mobile and modular electric infrastructure to this sector. During the last two years BKK have developed a concept that is now a newly established department in BKK that will take on this task. In this presentation, Camilla Moster, head of Mobile energy, will tell about the road from an innovation idea to a new department in BKK, give examples of what it will take to achieve zero emission construction sites, what the challenges are and what we can do to achieve electrification without unnecessary increase in grid capacity.
