In the first week of March a group of representatives of the Pandemic Center visited UiB's offices in Bruxelles. During the visit, the Pandemic Center met Prof. Enea Parimbelli (University of Pavia) and Laure Guillevac (FEAM) from the Pan-European Response to the Impacts of COVID-19 and future Pandemics and Epidemics (PERISCOPE) project.
PERISCOPE is a Horizon2020 financed project investigating the broad socio-economic and behavioural impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the goal of making Europe more resilient and prepared for future large-scale risks.
Charlotte Eide, Head of Bruxelles Office, facilitated a series of high level meetings with the European Health Emergency preparedness and Response Authority (HERA), highlighting the European ambitions for future pandemics and disaster preparedness. The Pandemic Center also met with a representative from the Dutch Embassy getting insight on processes and future guidelines from the EU in upcoming health programmes and visions.
The Pandemic Center is planning to apply for a EU grant in 2023.
