Insights into attitudes on meat-free days: interview with Ingrid Kvåle Faleide

In early June, Ingrid Kvåle Faleide, PhD candidate at the Department of Government and DIGSSCORE, was interviewed by Energi og Klima about her doctorate in their segment Ekspertintervjuet. In this segment, they interview researchers and other experts on topics relevant to the climate crisis and environmental policy.

Through the Norwegian Citizen Panel, the Panel of Elected Representatives, and the Panel of Public Administrators, Faleide has studied the respondents' attitudes as well as their perception of others' attitudes on certain topics. One of these topics are meat-free days in Norwegian canteens, which she has asked a cross-section of the Norwegian population about twice. In the second trial, she also included Norwegian politicians and employees in the central administration. In the interview, Faleide explains her preliminary findings, which indicates differences across the three panels, both in the respondents' own attitudes as well as their perception of others' attitudes on this topic.
