Hovedinnhold
Ocean Futures 2030 creates meeting points for scientists, diplomats, industry, NGOs, youth and society to discuss sustainable ocean development as a common heritage of humankind. In April 2023 the first OF2030 event took place during One Ocean Week and in March 2024 the first OF2030 policy brief was published. The UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development is the general backdrop for this ongoing activity.
Ocean Futures 2030 builds on experiences from Ocean Sustainability Bergen (OSB), a virtual ocean research centre at the University of Bergen (2018-2021). The university is SDG14 (Life below water) Hub for United Nations Academic Impact and lead university for SDG14 in the International Association of Universities’ SDG Cluster.
