Hovedinnhold
During the annual European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress 2024, five different but interrelated research projects arranged a joint meeting on 7 September in Vienna: the Exposome Project for Health and Occupational Research (EPHOR), The European Community Respiratory Health Survey (ECRHS), Oral bacteria as determinants for respiratory health (BRuSH), the Respiratory Health in Northern Europe study (RHINE), and the Respiratory Health In Northern Europe, Spain and Australia offspring study (RHINESSA). This gathering brought together researchers from various health research institutes across Europe and Australia to foster collaboration and share findings.
The meeting focused on discussing ongoing research and preliminary results from each of the involved studies, emphasizing how joint efforts can advance public health understanding.
On behalf of RHINE, study coordinator Ane Johannessen, professor of epidemiology and head of the GAP research group, discussed the ongoing analysis of the RHINE dataset and proposed new ideas for utilizing this data in future research.
The discussions highlighted the unique contributions of each project, underscoring the importance of collaborative research in addressing complex health challenges.
