Vision

To provide excellent global health research and training contributing to improved health and equity

CIH is situated in Overlege Danielssens House, Årstadveien 21. The Director of CIH is Simon Øverland.

This photo titled "Malaria in East Nusa Tenggara" by photographer Pearl Gan was submitted to The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) and ECTMIH Global Challenges in Health photo competition at ECTMIH 2021. The photo was among the top ten nominees.

CIH is organised under the Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care and the Faculty of Medicine.

In addition to working with colleagues in our own and other Departments and Faculties at the University of Bergen (UiB), we have close collaborations with many national and international institutions, particularly in low and middle income countries.

CIH hosts a Centre of Excellence, the Centre for Intervention Science in Maternal and Child Health (CISMAC).
