Celebrating knowledge in Bergen
The 'Research Days’ festival was held in the second half of September under the main theme of ‘Sustainability and Evolution ‘.

UiB researchers had an opportunity to present their work in many different arenas during the course of the week, not least at Kunnskapsfesten (celebration of knowledge) in Festplassen square.
Here, researchers set up 28 interactive research stations, gave lectures and theatrical performances. The topics ranged from sleep research to physics and, in the competition for the best research station, the Department of Physics and Technology came out on top, beating, the VilVite Science Centre, StatoilHydro and the Institute of Marine Research, among others.
Research Days is a national festival organised by the Research Council of Norway.
