Hovedinnhold

The special issue of Growth and Change (Vol. 45 no 3) including three papers with an introduction has been edited by Grete Rusten and Ragnhild Overå and was financially supported by the University of Bergen’s Gender Equality Fund.

Common key components for the three papers from research communities in respectively Sweden, Germany and Norway/Spain is that they discuss how scientific, technological or cultural knowledge in tacit or codified forms feeds into entrepreneurship and innovation and is anchored and shaped by geography. This is summed up by a discussion about the interplay between firm strategies and cluster dynamics.
