My master project concerns the exhumation history of the innermost Hardangerfjord area. I will apply apatite fission track and (U-Th)/He analysis to samples from near vertical profiles in order to obtain a better understanding of the low-temperature cooling of the southern Scandes. Thermal history modelling will be supplemented by structural studies, which may help to interpret the causes of rock exhumation.
