Main content

In the round of CET Accelerator Seed Funding fall '22, Claudiu Eduard Nedelciu, postdoc in the SEAS program at UiB, was granted 185.000 NOK to develop the research project Tackling uncertainty and polarization in climate and energy transition policies through participatory science communication strategies.

The aim is to

"...develop a larger, consortium-led project proposal, in which we will test the effectiveness of participatory science communication strategies in decreasing polarization between stakeholder groups."

In the research project, Claudiu and his team plan to test a promising participatory system dynamics model on two suitable topics: Deep-sea mining and the impact of decarbonization on vulnerable groups.

The Seed funding from CET will be used for workshops and a policy brief, including a half day seminar on polarization and science communication in energy and climate policies at CET.
