I am interested in atmosphere-ocean-ice interactions in the Arctic and especially the effects of marine cold-air outbreaks on the ocean circulation and water mass transformation. I also have a particular interest in climate variability and change, the role of Arctic sea ice in the climate system and its linkages with lower latitudes.
