Christine Oedegaard and colleagues explores how implementing the Norwegian policy from 2015 on the right to Medication free therapy for patients with psychosis has been from the therapists point of view.

While democratization of treatment choices is a definite aim, therapists had to balance their desire to help, their responsibility and lack of medication free services.

The paper points out dilemmas in autonomy and democracy in decision making, lack of resources in services supplementing or being alternatives to medication and how therapists maneuver policy implementation and professionality.
