CDeepSea cruise 2023

The CDeepSea cruise 2023 is now 2 weeks in, and we have already accomplished many of our objectives. The Fåvne observatory has been successfully deployed, gliders have been picked up for our collaborators from GFI, the ROV has been diving almost 24/7 collecting countless biological and geochemical samples at different vent sites along the Mohns and Knipovich ridge, and the sediment gravity corer has yet again been our friend in need when the weather gets rough and all other sampling equipment fail. Hopefully, the material we return with will help us get a better understanding of the fascinating world that lies at the bottom of the deep sea
