Eg forskar på ultralyd målesystem i gass. Eg utviklar ein metodikk for å bestemme ein korreksjonsfaktor for diffraksjon i slike målesystem, og rekner ut denne for piezoelektriske sendar- og mottakar-transdusarar med numerisk modellering (endelege element). Akustiske målingar i laboratoriet til akustikkgruppa ved IFT/UiB skal samanliknast med modelleringsresultat for å understøtte teorien og modelleringa.
Stipendiatstillinga er finansiert Norges Forskningsråd (NRF) under prosjektet Subsea energi- og kvalitetsmåling av naturgass med ultralyd strømningsmåling.
Medan eg tar doktorgraden er eg i permisjon frå mi stilling som forskar ved NORCE Norwegian Research Centre.
