Main content

This volume will address pandemic preparedness and response. It will:

  • Assist decision makers in the allocation of tightly constrained budgets to prevent, prepare for, and respond to pandemics.
  • Provide information to national governments and global health actors on how to use their resources to mitigate pandemic risks substantially and equitably.
  • Cover key areas of pandemic preparedness from the early detection of spill-over events to accelerating the development and deployment of medical countermeasures.
  • Emphasis, where appropriate, will be on the use of evidence and economic evaluation.
