About ALGOFOLK
How do algorithms and everyday creative practices shape one another? Algorithms are complex, and – like everything we cannot understand easily – humans create stories and myths around how these modern machines work. "Algorithmic folklore: The mutual shaping of vernacular creativity and automation" (ALGOFOLK) is a research project funded by a Trond Mohn Foundation Starting Grant (2024-2028) which seeks to answer these questions.
