Thor Øivind Jensen, associate professor at the Department of Administration and Organization Theory, held a presentation for the Bergen Energy Lab on 07. November 2017. In his presentation, he spoke about political science and its role in solving the challenge of climate and energy.
Thor Øivind argued that classic politics and its study is not well adapted to the task. However, it still contains some useful tools such as interest and implementation analyses, and lately several new analytical tools have emerged. Thor Øivind is also part of a very interesting ongoing project in South Africa, a focused comparative project looking at transition to sustainable energy systems in emerging economies.
