Who can apply

Students in the Master programme Politics and Governance of Global Challenges can apply.

The grade point average from masterlevel courses at UiB will be considered if there are more applicants than available spots.

When can I go

Students in the Master programme Politics and Governance of Global Challenges go on exchange in the 3rd semester (fall semester) of the degree.

Language

The language of instruction is mainly portugese. Some courses are taught in English.

Candidates who intend to take courses at IRI-USP must prove that have knowledge of the Portuguese language at any level. For students who need to improve their skills in Portuguese, the Language Center of Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Human Sciences (Centro de Línguas da FFLCH) offers Portuguese courses for foreigners.

What courses can I take

The agreement is linked to the Institute of International Relations.

The course "Climate Justice" taught in english and recommended to all students.

Each course at master level is 8 USP credits, and you need to tak 3 courses/24 USP credits to be a fulltime student. 24 USP credits equals 30 ECTS at master level.

Tuition fee

USP is a public university and there are no tuition fees.

Lånekassen gives an extra stipend for exchange studies in Brazil. Read more about this on their webpages.

Students at the master programme in Politics and Governance of Global Challenges can receive economic support through the UTFORSK project "A global classroom for global challenges".
