Who can apply
The agreement applies to master's students in system dynamics.
When can I go
Master's students in System Dynamics can travel on exchange to Lisbon through this agreement in their 2nd semester.
Language
All courses in the ESMD programme are taught in English.
What courses can I take
Master students in System Dynamics can take courses at Universidade Nova de Lisboa that are offered in the spring semester of the EMSD programme as an alternative to the courses GEO-SD306, GEO-SD308 and GEO-SD321 at UiB.
The courses you can take in Lisbon are as follows:
- Sustainability Science (10 ECTS)
- Integrative Modelling (10 ECTS)
- Sustainability Strategies Lab (10 ECTS)
Tuition fee
Erasmus students do not pay tuition fees at the host university, but must register and pay semester fees at UiB for the entire time they are abroad.

About the institution and the city
Universidade Nova de Lisboa vart grunnlagt i 1973 og er eitt av tre universitet i Lisboa. Lokale brukar som oftast berre nemninga NOVA, som tyder «ny» på portugisisk. Universitetet har om lag 19 000 studentar og i alt 9 fakultet. Universitetet har to større campusar på Campolide og Capricia, i tillegg til spreidde enkeltbygningar rundt om i byen.
Lisboa er hovudstaden i Portugal og ligg idyllisk til på nordsida av elva Tejo, ved munninga mot Atlanterhavet. Byen har om lag 650 000 innbyggarar og subtropisk middelhavsklima, med milde vintrar og varme somrar. Bydelen Alfama og dei kronglete trikkebanene her har gitt Lisboa tilnamn som Europas San Fransisco.
Accommodation
Internasjonale studentar har prioritet som søkarar til universitetet sine studentbustader.
