PhD-fellow Amany Selim

Amany Selim is a PhD-fellow at the Department of Sociology. She will do a PhD on transnational political engagement among Syrians in Oslo and Berlin (workpackage 1). Amany holds a Master’s degree in Migration Studies and Euro-Mediterranean Relations, as part of a mobility program. Her master’s thesis is on the reception of Syrian refugees in Arab communities in Berlin. Selim’s PhD-project is an integrated part of the IMEX-project and will be supervised by Susanne Bygnes, University of Bergen and Mette Andersson, University of Oslo.
