Student innovation
Main content
Here you will find an overview of what studies are available, extracurricular innovation possibilities, available support schemes, and who you can contact if you want more information. UiB aims for all interested students to be able to learn more about innovation and entrepreneurship, either through the study you follow or through other activities.
Apply for support
UiB offers support to students who want to apply for funding to test new ideas or business concepts:
- Up to 1,000,000 for student ideas through Stud-Ent: UiB provides assistance to students who wish to apply for up to NOK 1,000,000 from the Stud-Ent scheme with the Research Council of Norway. Students who want to apply and who have a project that is considered mature enough, are offered advice from business developers at VIS. An initial conversation with an innovation advisor is required before you contact VIS. Read more about Stud-Ent here.
- Up to NOK 100,000 for student ideas through UiB idé: Students with good ideas can apply for up to NOK 100,000 from UiB idé. The funds are allocated to ideas with societal value that need to be tested before deciding whether to proceed with the innovation process. Contact person for UiB idé is Yves Aubert. Read more about funding guidelines and assessment criteria at uib.no/ide.
