Invitation to Conference Dinner, Wednesday 20th of November

 

We hereby invite you to join a complimentary dinner that is arranged for all participants at the national conference for social and community psychology. The dinner starts 7 pm., and last until about 11 pm. We hope you wish to attend. Practical information to participants who are presenting a paper orally

 

Please bring with you your presentation on a USB-memory stick on the presentation day. We would also deeply appreciate if you send us your presentation on email the evening before your presentation day, to ensure we have a back up if anything fails. The email address to send your presentation to is: sosialkonferanse@gmail.com.

At the presentation day, please show up 10 minutes before your session starts, to upload your presentation to the computer.

The program and timetable for the conference will be sent to you on email when it’s ready, but please note that your presentation is set to last 15 minutes plus 5 minutes of discussion.

 

Practical information regarding presentation of scientific poster

 

The poster must be submitted to us at room 135 at Wednesday 20th of November between 9 am and 10.15 am. The official poster session will take place Thursday 21st of November between 12:30 pm and 2 pm. During this time you or another member of your research group must be present in the room the poster session is held to answer questions people might have regarding your poster.

 

The 15th Conference on Social and Community Psychology will this year be arranged by the Department of Psychosocial Science at the University of Bergen, Norway, 20 - 21 November 2013.

We hereby invite researchers and higher level students to attend and present their work at the conference.

 

Aims of the Conference

  • To promote the opportunity for psychology students to gain experience with presenting scientific papers and posters as well as to get feedback on their work by experienced researchers in social and community psychology
  • To give experienced researchers in these fields the possibility of an annual professional and social meeting, and to present their research
  • To advance the communication between social and community psychology and other areas of research within psychology and the social sciences, as well as between researchers and practitioners

Call for Papers

The conference will include poster and oral presentations and we welcome submissions of abstracts for theoretical as well as empirical posters and oral presentations. There will be short oral presentations of the posters at the poster sessions.

 

Registration and Abstract submission

Deadline for abstract submission is 29th of October 2013. Please state if you prefer a poster or oral presentation (due to space limitations the organizing committee may decide on presentation form). The abstract should contain 1) the title of the presentation, 2) name and affiliation of authors(s), 3) name of presenter, 4) a short summary of maximum 300 words about the presentation, 5) three to five key words, and 6) information whether poster/paper will be in Norwegian or English.
