Research
As a PhD candidate at the University of Bergen and an associate of the Department at the Clinic of Neurology at Haukeland University Hospital, I work directly under Professor Marte Helene Bjørk and Professor Nils Erik Gilhus, as well as VID Specialized University Professor Jana Midelfart Hoff. I also work closely with the National Institute of Public Health, Centre for Fertility and Health, supervised by PhD Jaqueline Mallory Cohen.
My main interest is neuroimmunology and neuroepidemiology. I am particularly interested in the neuromuscular disease Myasthenia Gravis (MG). For my PhD I study MG in women of childbearing age, and the impact of the disease on childbirth and child outcome. To understand the relation, I study large datasets from the Nordic health registries.
I am alumna of Helsinki University, where I obtained my basic medical education and licentiate degree in 2016 and have practiced clinically as a physician in Finland (2016-2018) and in Norway (2018-). I started my specialization in Neurology in 2018 at the Department at the Clinic of Neurology at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen.
