Benjamin Emmel

My research is focused on the development of continental margins during the break-up of the Gondwana supercontinent. I apply thermochronological dating methods to reveal the cooling histories of different regions in East Antarctica, Madagascar, Sri Lanka and Mozambique. Combined with structural data obtained from field work, interpretation of satellite images and digital elevation models the tectono-thermal histories of these areas are reconstructed.
