Through the degree, you have gained the tools to critically analyze the field of global development, both at policy and academic levels. You have learned to implement and evaluate the processes and outcomes of development initiatives in partnership with communities. The program offered two specializations: "Health Promotion" and "Gender in the context of global development." The first provided you with expertise in the theory and practice of health promotion, focusing on people and communities, allowing them to identify challenges, as well as resources and strategies to address them. The second specialization covered gender and feminist analysis, including postcolonial perspectives and theories of masculinity. You have gained insight into gender power relations and vulnerabilities, as well as processes of empowerment and social change.

You can find work in international aid organizations such as the UN, where you can contribute to global development projects and humanitarian work. National development organizations, such as Norad, offer opportunities to work on development processes at the national level, while NGOs (non-governmental organizations) like the Red Cross and Amnesty International provide work on humanitarian, social, and environmental projects.
Additionally, the education qualifies you for positions in national and local public administration, where you can help develop and implement policies and programs that promote global development. You will have the competence to work in interdisciplinary teams, collaborating with individuals from various fields and community organizations. You will also learn how to effectively lead such teams.
You will also be qualified to work as a research assistant, both in the private and public sectors. This allows you to contribute to important research and development within global development.
