New continuing education courses

Continuing education (EVU) is an important supplement to the university’s core tasks and is designed to further lifelong learning and the development of competence for the workplace and society at large.

Main content

Continuing education is based on the requirements set out in UiB’s quality assurance system as well as on the norms and procedures established by the Norwegian Association for Distance Education – Norsk forbund for fjernundervisning og fleksibel utdanning (NFF).

The general procedures for establishing new programmes also apply to continuing education activities, but approval by the University Board may be required several (2) times a year, as requests from external parties for new courses may diverge from the university's programme establishment routines.
