Dr Perpetra Akite

Perpetra Akite, who was a PhD student on the Matrix project, was awarded her doctorate on the 20 October 2016 after defending her thesis at Makerere University in Uganda. Her thesis, which was rated as very good, was on the spatial and matrix influences on the biogeography of insect taxa in forest fragments in central Uganda. Richard Telford and Amy Eycott were in Uganda to hear her presentation, which was rated as excellent.
