On the 26 February 2016, Vigdis became one of eleven Norwegian researchers newly elected in the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Class of the Academy and the only one in the Biology Group.
She is the fourth member of EECRG to join the Academy, the other three are John Birks, Hilary Birks, and Kathy Willis, all elected as Foreign Members.
Our congratulations to Vigdis on her wonderful acheivement.
