Chemistry finds many applications in the field of medical technology.  Our research group has a special focus on improving therapeutic and diagnostic methods where expert knowledge on the molecular level is of high importance.

The group conducts chemical research within the field of medical technology. We have a special focus on improving therapeutic and diagnostic methods where expert knowledge on the molecular level is of high importance. The expertise of the group members spans a broad range of topics, involving multivariate modelling, NMR spectroscopy, medicinal chemistry, flow chemistry, radiochemistry, and medical imaging. We apply our combined expertise to address research questions related to improved acquisition and analysis of spectroscopic data for medical applications, drug development which involves the use of high throughput experimentation, and improvement of image contrast based on Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Positron Emission Tomography. We perform our research in close collaboration with a variety of groups at The Department of Biomedicine (UoB) and various departments at Haukeland University Hospital.
