BECCLE-seminar with Director Genral of the Norwegian Competition Authority: 'Competition and Regulation'

Tuesday 26 August, Bergen Center for Competition Law and Economics (BECCLE) held a seminar on Competition and Regulation featuring Christine Meyer, Director General of the The Norwegian Competition Authority and member of the Productivity Commission. Meyer gave an introduction to the workings of the Commission and talked about how sector specific regulation may both impede and promote competition. She explained how sector specific regulations may be amended to promote competition and productivity, and how the Norwegian Act on Competition limits the effective fulfilment of regulations promoting Competition
