2. Citizenship - inclusion and exclusion
Main content
An important part of (state) citizenship as an institution is how it provides content to the political community through inclusion- and exclusion processes. We investigate these processes by looking at how the Norwegian citizenship has been shaped historically and how inclusion and exclusion is problematized and defined through political processes. Empirical is the Jews' and ‘Taternes' historical relationship with the Norwegian central government. A relevant topic for the thesis is to examine the minority concepts' Norwegian history.
