4. Local Councillors in Europe.

The project is a collaboration between scientists from 15 European countries and aims to map out the conditions for conducting local politics, how these conditions vary within and between countries and how the conditions influence recruitment patterns and career patterns, role perception and the shaping of roles for local legislators. In addition, the project will analyze how the local party units and local parties work in the community they are a part of. The data includes questionnaire responses from approximately 12,000 local politicians from 15 countries. Data are available for MA students as basis for a thesis.
