GAP research group contributes to University of Bergen’s Climate Health Initiative

Professor Ane Johannessen, the head of the Greenness, Air Pollution, and health (GAP) research group, is partner in the Climate Health Initiative (CHI) at the University of Bergen (UiB).

The Climate Health Initiative at the University of Bergen (UiB) is Led by the Pandemic Centre at UiB, this initiative aims to explore the complex interactions between climate change and health. Involving multiple faculties at the university as well as Bergen municipality, the project addresses global challenges aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Through her participation, Professor Ane Johannessen contributes with expertise on how air pollution and green spaces influence health outcomes in the context of climate change. This collaboration is part of the GAP research group’s ongoing efforts in environmental health research.
