The Norwegian patient register (NPR) and Helfo

Main content

In a collaboration between the Department of Clinical Dentistry and the Department of Rheumatology at Haukeland University Hospital, a linkage between the Norwegian Patients Registry (NPR) and information on reimbursements from HELFO (The Norwegian Health Economics Administration) has been made. The utilization of the Norwegian reimbursement system for treatment of periodontitis has been investigated in Sjögren's syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, and rheumatoid arthritis. The project uses information on recurrent visits to the specialist health care system in Norway from more than 300.000 patients in the NPR database.
