Jakub Both Receives Prestigious SIAG/GS Early Career Prize
Jakub Both has been awarded the 2025 SIAG/GS Early Career Prize by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).

On behalf of the 2025 SIAG/GS Early Career Prize Committee, SIAM stated: "This prestigious award recognizes Jakub Both's outstanding contributions to several aspects of mathematical issues in the geosciences, in particular for his generalization of alternating minimization methods to non-smooth and non-convex problems as encountered for instance in poroelasticity."
The prize will be officially presented at the 2025 SIAM Conference on Mathematical & Computational Issues in the Geosciences (GS25), which will be held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States, from October 14 – 17, 2025.
