Project 1

Primary objectives: What effect does sleep interventions have on sleep and psychiatric symptoms in patients with insomnia and comorbid psychiatric illness?

Secondary objectives:

  • Will the use of blue-blocking glasses enhance the effect of the treatment for insomnia?
  • What effect does the sleep intervention have on heart-rate-variability (HRV) and different psychiatric symptoms and neuropsychiatric measures?

Project 2

Primary objectives: What effect does sleep interventions have on sleep and psychiatric symptoms in patients with delayed sleep-wake phase disorder (DSWPD) and comorbid psychiatric illness?

Secondary objectives:

  • Will the use of blue-blocking glasses enhance the effect of the treatment for DSWPD?
  • What effect does the sleep intervention have on HRV, endogenous melatonin secretion and on different psychiatric symptoms and neuropsychiatric measures?

Project 3

Primary objective: How does healthy controls differ from patients from project 1 and 2?
