In the above news (in Norwegian), Pinar Heggernes, the Head of Department of Informatics, expresses her views of the importance of cybersecurity to the society. She emphasizes that recent recruitment of two world-leading cryptographers Vincent Rijment (as an adjunct professor) and Andrey Bogdanov (as a full professor) in the Selmer Center will greatly strengthen the group's expertise in cryptology as well as in cybersecurity. Together with Simula@UiB, Bergen now has one of the largest research groups in cybersecurity in Norway.
