BSRS 2021: Science and Society towards the Sustainable Development Goals
Digital summer research school.
Main content
The annual Bergen Summer Research School (BSRS) is an interdisciplinary venue for PhD students who want to explore some of the greatest challenges of our time. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, BSRS 2021 will again be organised as a virtual research school.
Bergen, Norway, from 7-17 June, 2021
This summer, six parallel disciplinary courses will focus on key global challenges, including adolescent reproductive health, the internationalisation of higher education, socio-economic inequality, psychological and social science perspectives on climate change, the sustainable development of life below water, and the research, regulation and governance of corruption.
In addition, Birgit Kopainsky, Ingunn Johanne Ness and Hiwa Målen will lead special interdisciplinary sessions connecting the participants of the six PhD-courses around systems thinking and creative interdisciplinary problem-solving and project management.
Together with cross-cutting keynotes and virtual social events, the courses will help 100 PhD students develop skills to create actionable knowledge.
